OUR ORIGINS
Meet Jackie, the owner of Wild Rose Malas! Jackie first learned the craft of mala making five years ago when living and practicing yoga in Denver. Mala necklaces were the first style of mala jewelry she learned to make and it was not a graceful process at first--there were hours of work, messy mala knots, and plenty of curse words. With practice, she found that the craft of mala-making tapped into her creative side and provided a meditative focus she hadn't felt since she was an art-loving child. Fast forward to 2023 and Jackie has created a thriving mala business, learned a variety of jewelry-making techniques (knot-tying, bracelet making, metal work), and has led multiple mala workshops. She is currently developing mala bracelet-making kits and has a tutorial video on her website to teach others this fun, fulfilling craft.
